A podcast that unveils and investigates the Inspiring, Messy and wild paths women take to become themselves
On Becoming shares the little known transformation stories of women entrepreneurs, creators, and innovators.
No mere celebrations of success, each episode unpacks the doubts and tribulations these women faced along their journeys to give listeners the tools to overcome the obstacles standing in between who they are, and who they’d like to become.

Inside season one
For my inaugural season, I chose a theme that was close to my heart: American Women Blooming In France. Over the course of five intimate episodes, we unpack the becoming stories of five multicultural women who made their way to Paris by choice, and discovered hidden parts of their identities, interests, passions and skills while here.
Who do we become when we choose to leave our country of origin? What do we leave behind in the process? How do we adapt our unique sensibilities and sensitivities into our superpowers? How do resilience, determination and adaptability become our source code in our adopted homes? How do we heal the parts of ourselves that we (thought!) we were leaving behind, but that shape shift into our new identities?
Guests below include: Jessica Menéndez, Lindsey Tramuta, Ajiri Aki, Jessie Kanelos Weiner, and Preeti Gill

Inside season two
For season two I was interested in the notion of “home,” specifically the stories of women who left their native land to explore their interests or identities overseas, but then decided to reverse course, and make their way back.
I was curious about what you give up when you go back, how you weave your international experiences back into your life, how your vision and perspective expand after living abroad, and what shifts in your sense of "home," as a result.
I chose my guests through this lens, even though some strayed outside of the lines. What I discovered during my conversations was that the general theme of the season was less about "home" as a geographic place, but more of a feeling of self-love and self-trust as the inner compass that guides our decisions.
Guests below include: Clara Moley, Maryanne Moodie, Marije Volgenzang, Zeva Bellel, Caroline Wachsmuth, Lili Barbery-Coulon and Melissa Unger

Inside season three
For Season 3, I’m focusing on a subject near and dear to my heart, and one that comes up often with the women I coach: the feminine edge of leadership. One of the unexpected advantages of coaching women for nearly seven years, is that I’ve amassed both qualitative and quantitative insights into what makes women’s power so unique.
Empathy, curiosity, compassion, intuition, creativity, inclusion—these are just some of the many hallmarks of feminine leadership. Yes, many women fail to recognize these traits as legitimate leadership qualities, simply because mainstream narratives rarely acknowledge them as such. Not only that: they’re often far more effective and impactful than the traditional model. (Cue Kamala Harris for President!)
hat’s exactly what Season 3 sets out to do: highlight women from diverse backgrounds and fields who have risen to the top by redefining power and leadership on their own terms.
This season, you’ll hear from a spectacular lineup of guests—trailblazers in social activism, neuroscience, design, femtech, entertainment, and even… wait for it… pornography. (Yep, we’re leaving no stone unturned).

Meet your host….
As a career coach for women, I’ve been struck by the lack of public discourse on the intricate and sometimes wrenching process of life transition and transformation, particularly for women gazing upward from the fog of marriage, motherhood, and early career ambitions. Our culture fixates on success, often narrowly defined, but it neglects the messy middle passage.
Having left my homeland to reinvent my life, I experienced first-hand the struggle of following my heart against societal expectations. I have guided countless women through their own struggles, waded in the morass with them, and celebrated their new triumphs, but I have yearned for a bigger platform in the hope of emboldening more women to veer off the expected road and forge their own unique paths.
And so in June 2023, I created On Becoming with Zeva Bellel, a podcast that tells the true and messy transformation stories of inspiring women entrepreneurs, creatives and innovators. We’ll hear about how they made difficult decisions in the pursuit of deep self-expression and fulfilment, especially when they wandered off course and deviated from the classic path.
Listen to find out how their hidden journeys can help unlock your own potential.
